The village of Zavar lies 8 km southeast of Trnava, at an altitude of 127 m. n. m. on the eastern edge of the Trnava loess board. It cadastrally borders the villages of Križovany nad Dudváhom, Šúrovce, Lovčice and the town of Trnava. The village had a population of 10 November 2018 – 2087.
